The questions from Elijah:

1: In what ways has your blog brought you closer to the Lord?

I think my blog made me think more about God. Sometimes the blog posts I write minister to myself. They make me think if I’m serving the Lord Jesus Christ from my heart. Also my blog has enabled me to communicate with other believers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, something that is hard to do in a heathen country like Japan.

2: What is your favorite passage from the Bible?

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

3: Have you ever made a short movie with your friends or family? If so, did you enjoy doing it?

Well, I’ve never made a live-action movie with my family, but when Jeremy and I were little, we used to make short films using teddy bears and other stuffed toys. I got some DVD’s of Jeremy’s own videos for my birthday a while ago. Jeremy still likes to make movies by taking thousands of pictures of LEGO minifigures and other things, moving the objects little by little, making a well-made stop-motion video.

4: What is your all-time favorite movie? What makes it your favorite?

Hmm… That is a hard question. I’m sort of a fan of Sci-Fi, for example Star Wars, and also adventure movies such as Indiana Jones. But I think my all-time favorite movie is The Polar Express, which is also my brother’s favorite. When he was little, he could have watched the movie every day! (Although that’s kind of an exaggeration…) I like it because it’s exciting and heart-warming. I recommend watching it in Christmas time.

5: If you were watching a film for the first time and there was content that went against your conscience, would you just “fight through it”, or would you turn it off?

If it was on TV, then I would just change the channel, or just turn the TV off. But if it’s on DVD, then I’ll skip the bad parts by fast-forwarding the movie. And if people in the movie speak bad language, then we just change the language setting to Japanese, which is safer.

  1. Hi Joshua!
Sorry I didn’t do this earlier. (I’ve been really busy composing and helping Noah edit).

How did you come to know the LORD?

I came to know the Lord last July. I was reading through John Bunyan’s autobiography: “Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners.” (part of my assigned curriculum from Generations). And the Lord really used that book to open my eyes to the truth of His Word. I could really relate to John Bunyan’s inward struggles that he told of in his book, and the Lord used that to bring me to the cross.

What is your favorite book of the Bible?
My favorite book in the Bible is probably either Proverbs or John.

Who is your favorite Bible character?
That would be Othniel, (Caleb’s nephew). I think he was pretty cool!

    Which author is your favorite?
Different authors specialize in different genres. For fiction, my favorite author is beyond a doubt Lee Duigon. For historical fiction, my all time favorite is G. A. Henty, closely followed by the modern G. A. Henty: Douglas Bond. For history, my favorite author is your uncle: Kevin Swanson. I have read quite a few of his history books, (I’m currently in the middle of one), and he just has a way of keeping you engaged, and excited about what will come next.

    When were you baptized?
    I was baptized last July.

Thanks for letting me do this!
    🙂

    1. I’m very glad I let you answer the questions! I really liked your answers, Elijah! I have John Bunyan’s book on Kindle, but I haven’t read it yet. I’ll be sure to read it one of these days. My brother and I really like G. A. Henty as well! Currently Jeremy’s been reading his books. I haven’t read his books for quite a while. The only book I read by Henty is “In Freedom’s Cause.” I’m reading a book written by my uncle right now , too!! It’s “Taking the World For Jesus.”
And of course, my all-time favorite author is Lee Duigon!!!

Thank you for the amazing and interesting answers, Elijah!! I’m praying for Noah’s and your editing work! 🙂
