TO MY FATHER, AND TO ALL THE FATHERS IN THE WORLD…
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for giving me and my brother a kind and gentle father, who takes care of us lovingly. Help us, LORD, to become like our father, hard-working, strong in the faith, living each day in your sight. I ask this in Jesus’ most precious name, Amen!
(For June 16th, 2019)

Sorry for being so late to do this, but hooray! I have been nominated the Randomness Award by Keziah! That makes six awards in May! Thank you so much for nominating me for the Randomness Award, Keziah! Please follow her blog at: http://keziahehome.wordpress.com/
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
The Rules:
1. Which do you prefer: DC or Marvel, if you are into either of them?
Hmm… I like Marvel now, but when I was younger, I liked the DC comics hero, Superman. I have watched several Marvel movies, but not recently. I don’t read the comics. Iron Man’s pretty cool!
2. If you could do anything right now, what would it be?
I would like to be translating a Christian book.
3. Would you rather be told when you died 10 minutes before, or years before?
I can do more things for Christ in a few years time than in 10 minutes, so I’d rather be told when I will die years before.
4. What do you think should be invented?
Centipede detector… to lessen the worries.
5. What is your favorite subject/s in school?
I like English and history.
6. Do you play sports, and if so, what kind?
I don’t usually play sports, I’m a stay-at-home type of person, but I like to play catch and watch baseball. I also like to play ping-pong (table tennis).
7. If you could meet anyone in the world who lives now or used to, who would it be?
It would be pretty cool if I met Shohei Ohtani. But Someone whom I want to meet more than “Show-time” is mentioned in the next question…
8. Say someone built a time machine. Where would you go?
I would go to Jerusalem when Jesus was on earth. I really want to see Jesus Christ the Son of God in person, my Savior, the King of kings and LORD of lords.
9. What is your favorite natural color?
My favorite natural color is green. I just love the green color of nature, especially during and after it rains.
10. What is one of your favorite memories from when you were under the age of 8?
Going to a fun amusement park with my family at the age of 7.
Thanks again, Keziah! I really enjoyed doing this! God bless you and your family!
Joshua
Amen! Praise the LORD!! Grandma and Aunty are now reading the Bible! Please continue to pray for their salvation!! 🙂
I’m hurrying to get this posted before Joshua goes to bed. I don’t know what time it is in Japan, but it’s either very late or very early. Oh, well, he can see it when he gets up again: Blessed Assurance, sung by Alan Jackson.
And on top of it, we’ve got some good news–an answered prayer.
On May 5 Joshua asked us to pray for his grandmother and aunt in Japan, who had heard of the Gospel but not yet received it. Today Joshua reports that both are now reading the Gospel of John–and may the Holy Spirit speak to them! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Please pray for the salvation of my grandma and aunt!!
We’re getting a lot of prayer requests this weekend. Well, prayer is one of our purposes here.
Please, everybody, join in prayer for Joshua’s grandmother and aunt in Japan, who have heard the Gospel but not as yet been called: Father in Heaven, open their hearts that they may hear. We want our loved ones with us in your kingdom; we want them all to know the joy of Jesus Christ Our Lord, that they may be saved by him. We all have people that we love who have not yet come to Jesus. Bring them, O Lord our God: in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Here are some encouraging Bible verses that Keziah has shared on her blog! Courage, soldiers under King Jesus’ banner! “If God be for us, who can be against us?”- Rom. 8:31
Hey all!!
I know a couple of bloggers that do a thing called “WBV”, which stands for “Weekly Bible Verse”. I loved the idea but wanted to go a little more in depth than just sharing a Bible verse, and so decided to come up with my own name – Weekly Scripture Unearthing, or “WSU”. Weird, I know, and the initials do look like some university’s initials, but whatever; I like it. ;D
I don’t guarantee to post exactly a week from today, or the next week, but I WILL post one of these every week, though I can’t say what day it will be on. XD
And now, for what we have all been waiting for!
1 Peter 4: 12-14 :
“12 Beloved, do not be surprised at zthe fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Psalm 23 is my favorite Psalm. This is an article by SlimJim about the connection between this Psalm and Mark 14. This Psalm is a great comfort for all Christians facing trouble in their lives. “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want!”
I have posted in the past “Chuck Norris Apologetics with the Problem of Evil.” That post was about how the alleged problem of evil presupposes Christian theism. In this present post I’m assuming what’s taught in that previous post. Yet what is presented here is not just looking at the problem of evil in terms of suffering from another angle but should be joined with the first post as reinforcing a Christian treatment of theodicy.

❦THE RULES❧
Q.1. – If you had to make dinner for your family, what would you make?
Hmm… I would make mac and cheese and salad! Simple is best for a slowpoke like me!!!
Q.2. – Have you ever gone to an amusement park?
Yes, a few times! I’ve been to some Japanese amusement parks (never overseas), for example Greenland (not to be confused with Denmark’s domain near Canada) and Tokyo Disney Resort (Been there twice!😊).
Q.3. – What’s one of the scariest things you’ve done in your life?
Some of the things I do are kind of, er, creepy, for example I think about something funny, and then I laugh or smile at the spot, and the folks around me look at me and say “Are you alright?” That’s kind of scary, isn’t it? (Playing an instrument in front of many people is also pretty scary! Taking an exam and having an interview also give me the creeps!! 😱)
Q.4. – What’s one of the stupidest things you’ve done in your life?
Ah, that is a hard question, for I can write a big fat autobiography of stupid things I’ve done in my life! Therefore I must give more than one answer!! Here are a few examples…
Episode 23 (or so): When I was about 3 years old, I stuck a green Tic Tac into my nose!! 👃✨ You bet I smelled that Tic Tac alright! (Don’t worry, it’s gone now.🐽)
(Well, not exactly the things I did, but here are some of the stupid, or should I say comical, things I said…)
Episode 329 (or so): When I was a tot, my dad and I were looking at the stars when my eyes fell on the crescent moon🌛… “Daddy, where’s the other half?”… (In the refrigerator, of course!🧀)
Episode 863 (or so): My mom and I were walking down a sidewalk about a little more than a decade ago when I saw something on the grassy ground next to the sidewalk. “What’s that, a finger?…” ‘Twas a piece of bread, thou fool. 🥖🤓
(Back to the foolish actions!!!)
Episode 39,668 (or so): I was walking in a room, when I bumped into a chair. And what did I say???… I said “SORRY”… to the chair!!! 🤔❓
(And here’s what crowns them all!!!)
Episode 43,987 (or so): It was a hot and humid night on May 11th, 2019…
Mom was doing something in the hall, when I heard her utter an exclamation. Instinctively, Jay and I rushed to the hall to see what’s going on. And there, near the shoes, wriggled a big bad ol’ centipede. I must say I couldn’t resist a shudder at the sight of the minuscule monster (Well, 15 centimeters, or 7 inches or so, approximately, is not so minuscule, but I wanted to use that word for some reason). There we stood, gazing with horror at the insolent intruder, when Mom grabbed the “bug tweezers.” But then I decided to make a stand. “Mother, you can leave this to ME!!!” And so I took the tweezers from my mother, and slowly crept towards the creepy creeper. And then I struck!!…
“Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap,” went the tweezers as I tapped the tweezers on the centipede (I don’t know what I was doing, I should have just grabbed it and flushed it in the toilet or something). Well, it wasn’t availing much, so I tried harder (Wanted to chop it in half, I suppose…) But that was my undoing…
“TAP, TAP, TAP, TAP, POING!!!” went the centipede as it was flung by the impact of my stupid “bug tweezers.” “HEY!!! Where did it go!!?” yelled Jay. “What are you doing?” asked Mom, incredulously. (Don’t blame me, blame the tweezers!) “Duh… defeating the centipede I guess…” said I (Actually, I didn’t, duh…). And so we looked for it, and Mom found it wriggling near the door. She picked up the centipede with the tweezers and took it to the forest where it should belong. Well, thankfully no one got hurt, by God’s grace. I have learned some lessons from this singular incident… Leave it to the professionals, don’t do something you’ll not sure you can do, and don’t embarrass the “bug tweezers” anymore!
Ah… despicable me… 😦
Q.5. – Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how and what?
Okay, I will now make an announcement: I have never broken a single bone in my life! That saves me from having to write a long answer! And I hope I never will… unless my stupidity gets the best of me… 😦
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thank you once again, Lydia! I had a great time doing this, and I hope my nominees have a good time as well!!
