What Do You Think?

~ What Do You Think – by Acappella ~

Luke 15:3~7

“3 And He [Jesus Christ] spake this parable unto them, saying, 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing, 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

Isaiah 53:6

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him [the Lord Jesus Christ] the iniquity of us all.”

John 10:11

“[Jesus said,] I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.”

(Scripture quotations from the KJV Bible)

  1. This is so good and beautiful! It affirms that our Lord loves us beyond measure and wishes to not lose even one; we are that precious to Him! It’s we humans His children that don’t always comprehend or appreciate this truth! I know from having had several dogs over the years how I would be sorrowful if one of them had gone missing and to be lost, I would search and try so hard to find it and indeed if I did I would carry it home; but I made sure they were safe and kept secure in my home, trying very hard to not let anything go wrong; because if it did I would be so frantic and broken! I’ve even helped other citizens that had their dog get loose and I was also frantic to find that lost endangered doggie and when found it was very joyous for all involved! If I can worry so much for my dogs I can’t imagine how much Jesus is concerned for each of us! That which I felt must be a tiny sample of how beautiful the chorus of joy and love will be when we arrive there with our Master; our Father in heaven!
