  1. The professor who taught the religious studies classes about Christianity when I was at UJ said that, in the world of the early Christians, the cross was an interesting choice to symbolize their new faith. He said it was like someone trying to start a new religion today and using an electric chair as their symbol. I had never thought of it that way, but he’s right.

    1. That’s an interesting example! I love Galatians 2:20! “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
