Finally! Good Christian Lyrics for “Hallelujah”!

You may know the song “Hallelujah,” which has a beautiful melody, but the original lyrics of the song are not good and even blasphemous. But cheers for Kelly Mooney (lyric writer) and Cassandra Star & Callahan (singers)!! 🎶 Please enjoy this beautiful song, “A Resurrection Hallelujah”!😃

  1. Yes, I agree! Hallelujah has such a beautiful tune, and I was always disappointed with the words. This version is really good. ❤ There's also a Christmas version about Jesus' birth – have you heard it? And I also wrote my own lyrics to this song.
    Thanks for posting this!! 😀

  2. Here are the lyrics I wrote to Hallelujah. 🙂

It’s not by works, lest men should boast,
    Our goodness isn’t even close,
For no good deed is good enough to save us

We think that we can make it through,
By all the good things that we do,
But these things are as nothing – hallelujah!

    Chorus
    Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Oh, what can save us all from hell,
It’s the Good News – it’s a story to tell,
That Christ died on that rugged cross to save us.

He took our sins on his behalf,
He took our guilt, and He bore God’s wrath,
And all of this to save us – hallelujah!

    Chorus

Now I would live my life for Him,
For God who took away our sin,
A servant unto all and, to the Lord.

To praise and glorify His name,
And all His wondrous works proclaim,
To honor Him forever – hallelujah

    Chorus
