1. Be Thou My Vision – performed by the Maranatha Singers.
I especially like the third verse!
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise.
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always.
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart.
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
2. Angels We Have Heard On High – performed by Fernando Ortega.
I like the third verse of this song, too!
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the newborn King!
Gloria In Excelsis Deo!
Gloria In Excelsis Deo!
3. The Solid Rock – performed by the Maranatha Singers.
All the verses are good, but here’s the first verse.
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
4. Stand Up For Jesus – sung by The Celebration Choir
Verse 1:
Stand up, stand up, for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss:
From victory unto victory,
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.
5. Christ Shall Have Dominion – sung by Grace Community Church (Texas)
Verse 1:
Christ shall have dominion over land and sea,
Earth’s remotest regions shall his empire be;
They that wilds inhabit shall their worship bring,
Kings shall render tribute, nations serve our King.
Refrain:
Christ shall have dominion over land and sea,
Earth’s remotest regions shall his empire be.
6. All Glory Be To Christ Our King – performed by Kings Kaleidoscope
I love all the verses, so it’s hard to choose!
Verse 1:
Should nothing of our efforts stand
No legacy survive
Unless the Lord does raise the house
In vain its builders strive.
To you who boast tomorrow’s gain
Tell me, What is your life?
A mist that vanishes at dawn.
All glory be to Christ!
[Chorus]
All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing
All glory be to Christ!
7. Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb? – sung by Alan Jackson
Verse 1:
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Refrain:
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
8. God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen – sung by Libera
Verse 1:
God rest you merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan’s power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
9. Gloria – by GLAD
Sorry if this breaks the rules, but I’d like to post all the lyrics for this song!
Wish I could crash like the waves
Turn like the autumn leaves
In effort to praise you
Wish I could smell like the forest
The fragrance lifting a mighty chorus in effort to praise you
In effort to praise you
But I’m such a limited creature
And my words can only paint so many pictures
But somewhere I think I’ve read
That I am treasured over all creation
So I know that I must try
Wish I could roll like the thunder
To leave the earth below in wonder
In effort to praise you
Wish I could fall like the summer rain
Every drop would sing your name
In effort to praise you
In effort to praise you
But I’m such a limited creature
And my words can only paint so many pictures
But somewhere I think I’ve read
That I am treasured over all creation
So I know that I must try
I must try
Gloria! Glory in the highest
Forever I will hide myself in you
Oh, Gloria! Glory in the highest
Forever I will hide myself in you
Every breath that I breathe
Every moment in my history
Is an effort to praise you
An effort to praise you
Gloria! Glory in the highest
Forever I will hide myself in you
Oh, Gloria! Glory in the highest
Forever I will hide myself in you
Gloria! Glory in the highest
Forever I will hide myself in you
Oh, Gloria! Glory in excelsis Deo
Gloria, Gloria!
10. Creation Song – by Fernando Ortega
Verse 2:
He made the moon for its season,
The sun knows it setting.
He looks at the Earth and it trembles,
He touches the mountains
and they smoke,
I will sing to the Lord all my life,
I will sing praises to my God –
As long as I live,
Praises to the Lord, oh my soul.
Singing glory, hallelujah!
Glory to our God!
All praises and honor forever.
