An Appointment You Will Keep

A while ago, my grandparents gave me a tract called “An Appointment You Will Keep” by Joel Beeke. I was shocked by what was written in it. I found an audio version of it on YouTube, so I would like to share this with you. Please share this with your family and friends, both Christians and non-Christians. They need to hear this message. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3)

‘A Mighty Fortress Is Our God’ Sung By Christians All Around the World!

It’s always an encouragement to see Christians mixing their voices together to sing praises to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Please enjoy this amazing rendition of the beloved hymn by Martin Luther, A Mighty Fortress, sung by a virtual choir consisting of participants all around the globe.

“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalm 18:2)

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

The lyrics:

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow’r are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing,
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us;
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth;
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.

An Interesting Interview

This is a story of a man who, by the grace of God alone, converted from Islam to Christianity. To God alone be the glory!

(Description from YouTube)

Nabeel Qureshi (April 13, 1983 – September 16, 2017) was a Pakistani-American Christian apologist, author, speaker, and convert from the Ahmadiyya movement of Islam. Ahmadi Muslims worldwide are estimated to be around 10-20 million. The Ahmadiyya’s beliefs are more closely related to those of the Sunni Muslims than the Shi’a Muslims. The Ahmadis are guided by the Five Pillars of Islam and believe in the 6 Articles of Faith. They also accept the Quran as their holy book and pray five times a day while facing the Kaaba. Ahmadis practice Sunnah and accept the Authority of the Hadiths. However, their distinguishing characteristic is their belief in Mizra as the Promised Messiah and redeemer as was promised by the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Mizra’s aim was to propagate Islam throughout the world through peaceful means and to revive the forgotten Islamic values such as peace, sympathy, and forgiveness.

The 34-year-old Nabeel was an itinerant speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM). This interview was recorded in February 2014 with Canadian Pastor Robbie Symons.

Where Can I Find Jesus?

This is an excellent and encouraging video by my new friend, Sophia Lorena Benjamin. Thank you, Sophia, for the video!

“[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

[6] In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

[7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7)

It is Well With My Soul (Pan Flute)

~ David Döring – It is Well With My Soul ~

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23

The Lyrics

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blessed assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trumpet shall sound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Is It a Sin to Fear COVID-19? – John MacArthur

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.’ [3] Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4] He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” (Psalm 91:1-6)

A Prayer for the World

Please join in prayer as John Piper prays.

“Pray without ceasing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, [21] Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21

A Recommended Video For All

“‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ They answered Him, ‘We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest Thou, Ye shall be made free?’ Jesus answered them, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:32-36)

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” (1 John 1:1-10)
