Happy New Year 2021!

Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s begin this year with Psalms 1, 100, and 150 and these wonderful renditions of Auld Lang Syne!

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

— Psalm 1 KJV

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

— Psalm 100 KJV

“Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

— Psalm 150 KJV

Year-end Hymn Medley!

The year is about to change from 2020 to 2021! Let’s end the blog posts for this year with this awesome hymn medley sung by Lena Maria in Swedish and English!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this year. This year was a hard one for us, but Lord, You have helped us through. Help us to always trust in You in all circumstances. Help us in the next year, too. Thank You for all the blessings You so graciously grant unto us who are so unworthy of anything but death. Thank You most of all for the free gift of grace granted to us through the substitutionary and satisfactory sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the King of kings and Lord and lords, who is now seated at the right hand of God making intercession for His elect people. Help us to have our one and only hope in Jesus Christ our God, the Creator of the earth and Savior of His people, the sheep of His pasture. May we be found faithful unto You, always abounding in the work of spreading the gospel, and anticipating the return of Jesus Christ our eternal King at the end of the world. Amen.

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

— Revelation 22:20-21

Nearer, My God, to Thee

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

— Matthew 28:18-20
