How My Blog Started…

‘Twas the year 2018 when, on Lee Duigon’s blog, I saw a funny picture of a madman who thinks he’s Napoleon. I then thought about writing a story about that man. Then Lee Duigon said that I should share the stories on a blog of my own. That’s how my blog started! You can find out more at: https://leeduigon.com/2018/08/31/brown-u-aborts-its-own-study-cause-they-didnt-like-what-they-found/ Lee Duigon was my first viewer and he posted the very first comment on my blog!!

Please read The Bell Mountain Series by Lee Duigon!!

Here are my two tips…

  1. To make your blog grow, visit and follow others and make friends with them!!
  2. Check your spam box often to see if some good comments got stuck in there for some reason. Just be careful of real spam comments and spammers.

Sorry! No Essay Questions

Here is an announcement from our cuddly friend, Byron the Quokka.

Lee Duigon

See the source image

G’day, mates! Byron the Quokka here, with some clarification about our Bell Mountain Trivia Contest.

I don’t know how the rumor got started, or who started it, but there are not going to be any essay questions in this contest. My cousin Bengay is crazy about essay questions. He turns everything into an essay question. Ask him what’s the bloomin’ time, and he gives you an essay.

We don’t need that in the contest, do we? Short answers are the best. And by the way, here are the answers to the first two questions:

One, the best wine in Obann comes from Durmurot; and two, Martis’ horse is named Dulayl. Question No. 3–who called himself the king of Lintum Forest?–is still in play, and Question No. 4 will come up by and by. There will be 20 questions. The reader with the most right answers gets a gold watch with…

Awesome Blogger Award

th.jpg
Lydia nominated me on June 27th, 2019!

Thank you so much, Lydia, for nominating me for the Awesome Blogger Award!! I’M VERY HAPPY!! Please check out her super awesome blog at: https://inhisserviceandlovingit.wordpress.com/ !!

<><><><><><><><>

Here are the rules…

  1. Thank the person/blogger who nominated you.
  2. Tag your post with #awesomebloggeraward.
  3. Answer all the questions given to you.
  4. Nominate at least 5 bloggers and inform them of their nomination.
  5. Give them 10 new questions to answer.

And here are the questions given to me by Lydia Potter:

What is the first thing you notice about a person? The first thing I notice is that person’s face. Then I try to remember that face so that I will recognize that person when we meet again.

What are some challenges you think the next generation will face? The next generation might have a hard time finding jobs since artificial intelligence is getting so high-tech that it’s taking the jobs away from humans. There are many other problems in the world, but God is in sovereign control, and we need not worry.

What is your favorite season and why? I like winter. Well, I think the atmosphere of the season is nice, and it gets nice and cozy in the house with the heater going and the coffee brewing. When it’s cold, we can adjust our body temperature by putting more layers on, but in summer, we can’t do that, and centipedes come out of hiding, so I don’t like summer. And also it feels comfortable in my heavy blankets when I sleep in winter.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Definitely not fried centipedes, but probably my choice would be taco rice. Once you start eating that it’s unstoppable.

What’s the number one item you would save from your burning house? I would save my translation work. I can’t afford to have all that hard work burned in the flames.

What makes you laugh the most? These fabulous funny videos, listed in Top-3 order!!!

#3 – I Like Orange Juice (Warning: it’s rather ridiculous)

#2 – Kentucky Fried Chicken

And to crown them all…

#1 – WOW… This is totally amazing…

(Found this video at: https://leeduigon.com/2019/02/01/hank-johnson-four-pressadint/ )

What is your favorite holiday? My favorite holiday is New Year’s Day, celebrating the new year and thanking God for all the countless blessing He has bestowed upon us the past year.

What is your third favorite meal? Hmm… that’s a hard one, but I guess it’s pizza. (#1 = taco rice; #2 = curry rice.)

When was the last time you washed a car? We washed it sometime last week.

What is something you’re looking forward to next week? I’m looking forward to going to church on the Lord’s Day.

Important Announcement! (from Byron the Quokka)

C’mon, everybody! Join the comment contest!!

Lee Duigon

See the source image

G’day, it’s me, Byron the Quokka, with a super-important announcement!

We now have just over 45,000 comments on this blog, and Lee says I can start another comment contest as long as I don’t promise that the winner gets a bicycle.

So OK, new comment contest, with the finish line at 47,000, which means that the next contest will be for No. 50,000, a real milestone–and those dumb  wombats said we’d never make it! But first this contest. Whoever posts Comment No. 47,000 wins the prize.

I don’t know what he’s got against giving away bicycles. [Editor’s Note: Byron, it wasn’t ours to give! How many times do I have to tell you that?] So I guess an autographed copy of his new book, The Temptation–and if you’ve already got it, you can ask for a different book.

I don’t know. A bag of pretzels and a can of…

An Important Announcement from Byron the Quokka: Bell Mountain Trivia

Here is a very important announcement from Byron the Quokka!!

Lee Duigon

See the source image

G’day! That picture up there shows Aunt Feezie, Uncle Jeff, and Cousin Ethelred playing Bell Mountain trivia. We quokkas can’t ever get enough of it!

Byron the Quokka here, to introduce The Bell Mountain Trivia Contest, which is like totally all my idea and Lee said I could do it as long as I don’t forget I’m supposed to be running a comment contest–the one you win if you post Comment No. 47,000.

This contest is really simple and anyone can play. Every few days, I’ll ask a Bell Mountain Trivia question. And after 20 questions, whoever got the most right answers wins a prize: an autographed book, most likely. (You know how he is about bicycles.)

Right! Question No. 1:

Where does the best wine in Obann come from?

Of course, it’s a lot easier to answer these questions if you’ve read the books. Aunt Feezie has read The…
