“And there was delivered unto him the book of the Prophet Esaias ( Isaiah ). And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because HE hath anointed me to Preach the Gospel to the poor; HE hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to Preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at Liberty them that are bruised, To Preach the acceptable year of the LORD. And HE closed the Book, and HE gave it again to the Minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the Synagogue were Fastened on HIM. And he began to say unto them, This day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears.”!! ( Luke 4:17-21 KJV 1611 AV )!!

This is a very encouraging post by Mr. Ryan Callahan. May you be blessed by this, and enjoy the beautiful photos that he took!
Photo by Ryan, Foggy Rocky Mountain morning
Hello everyone and God bless you all! Today I would like to share something I read in God’s Word along with a few photos I took of a cool fog rolling over the front range of the Rockies. I have been reading the Book of John and although I have read it many times, there was one particular verse that stood out after the scene with doubting Thomas. John tells us plainly why he wrote what he did and I love the simplicity of his testimony!
After John has finished telling us everything He witnessed Jesus do from miracles to dying on the cross and rising from the dead, this is what he said:
“Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus…

~ What Do You Think – by Acappella ~
“3 And He [Jesus Christ] spake this parable unto them, saying, 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing, 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him [the Lord Jesus Christ] the iniquity of us all.”
“[Jesus said,] I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.”
(Scripture quotations from the KJV Bible)
Here are some encouraging Bible verses that Keziah has shared on her blog! Courage, soldiers under King Jesus’ banner! “If God be for us, who can be against us?”- Rom. 8:31
I know a couple of bloggers that do a thing called “WBV”, which stands for “Weekly Bible Verse”. I loved the idea but wanted to go a little more in depth than just sharing a Bible verse, and so decided to come up with my own name – Weekly Scripture Unearthing, or “WSU”. Weird, I know, and the initials do look like some university’s initials, but whatever; I like it. ;D
I don’t guarantee to post exactly a week from today, or the next week, but I WILL post one of these every week, though I can’t say what day it will be on. XD
And now, for what we have all been waiting for!
1 Peter 4: 12-14 :
“12 Beloved, do not be surprised at zthe fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Psalm 23 is my favorite Psalm. This is an article by SlimJim about the connection between this Psalm and Mark 14. This Psalm is a great comfort for all Christians facing trouble in their lives. “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want!”
I have posted in the past “Chuck Norris Apologetics with the Problem of Evil.” That post was about how the alleged problem of evil presupposes Christian theism. In this present post I’m assuming what’s taught in that previous post. Yet what is presented here is not just looking at the problem of evil in terms of suffering from another angle but should be joined with the first post as reinforcing a Christian treatment of theodicy.
