By Request, ‘Ode to Joy to the World’ (Double Wow!)

Wow! This blew me out of the water! Reblogged from Lee Duigon’s blog. Enjoy!

Feel free to request some Christmas hymns on Mr. Duigon’s blog! It’s Christmas Carol Contest time!

Lee Duigon

Well, that left me breathless! Thanks, Heidi, for suggesting this: Ode to Joy to the World by the Piano Guys, plus bell-ringers, orchestra, choir, and a couple of heartfelt wows on my part.

If you look at the title and go, “Huh?”, just give it a chance. Just play the video, and prepare to be blown away.

The J&J Christmas Concerts

My brother, Jeremy, and I played Christmas songs for our English students. Our first day of Christmas concerts was on Thursday, December 13th. Jay played the ukulele and I played the guitar.

We played five songs for each class. Here are some YouTube samples…

{ J&J Christmas medley – 3 songs }

Song No. 1 – “Silent Night

The first song in the medley was “Silent Night”. Here’s one by Il Divo.

Song No. 2 – “Joy to the World”

The second song was “Joy to the World”.  Here’s one by Acappella.

Song No. 3 – “El Santa Pasa” (“El Condor Pasa”)

And the third song of our medley was “El Santa Pasa”. We changed the title of “El Condor Pasa”, a South American song, to make it into a “Christmas song”. 🙂 “The Santa Passes”… get it? Here’s one I found on YouTube performed with saxophones by the Christmas Band!

{ Sing-alongs }

Song No 4. – “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”

We also played some easy songs that the students can sing along with. We sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” together! Here’s Mr. Munson playing the song on the guitar (with lyrics).

Song No. 5 – “Jingle Bells”

And the last song we played and sang was “Jingle Bells“! This is a ukulele performance by Hoang Luu.

We are going to play these 5 songs on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, too!

We also want the students to learn the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
