‘Low in the Grave He Lay’ — Lee Duigon

Until I started playing it, I didn’t realize this was one of my favorite hymns, too; but I always knew it as Up from the Grave He Arose. You Favorite Hymns continues with Low in the Grave He Lay, sung by the Kingdom Quartet.

‘Low in the Grave He Lay’ — Lee Duigon

This is a post from Lee Duigon’s blog. I hope this hymn will be a blessing to you!

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

– 1 Thessalonians 4:14 KJV

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

– 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV

Sorry, I Can’t Give You Final Victory — Lee Duigon

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.

– Psalm 110:1

“Final victory can only be achieved, and will be achieved, by Jesus Christ.”-Lee Duigon

The Lord of the Rings ends with all the bad guys destroyed and only good guys left. Why can’t my Bell Mountain series end that way? At least one reader has called for me to stop the series and cap it with some kind of “final victory.” Sorry, but I just can’t do it. My […]

‘Be Thou My Vision’ — Lee Duigon

“2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:2 KJV

This is my favorite hymn! This post is from Lee Duigon’s blog.

This is probably the oldest hymn on our list, dating back to the 8th century and still beloved today–Be Thou My Vision, from Ireland. Sung by the Lebanon Youth Chorus.

Be of Good Courage — Lee Duigon

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

(John 16:33)

This is an encouraging post by Lee Duigon. I highly recommend his blog!

“Pray harder, sing louder, and proclaim the truth. Christ already has the victory, and we are His people. Ooh-rah!” – Lee Duigon

There’s too much defeatism out there. Too many Christians carrying on like the battle’s lost already, bad guys win, nothing we can do about it, etc. 347 more words

The Lure of the Prequel — Lee Duigon

I highly recommend the Christian adventure series, Bell Mountain, written by Lee Duigon! Please check out his website here and his books here!

I’ve been chewing over this idea for years now, and a few readers have encouraged me in it. Why not write a Bell Mountain book about things that happened before the events so far related in the series? 194 more words

A Prayer for China — Lee Duigon

Please pray that the big dam in China won’t collapse.

From Lee Duigon’s blog.

You probably haven’t heard this story; but as you read this, China’s Three Gorges Dam, the biggest dam in the world, is heavily stressed by monsoon flooding–and tens of millions of human lives, millions of acres of farmland, and millions of tons of food could be lost (https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-risks-of-chinas-three-gorges-dams-flooding/). It could be the worst single natural […]

HOW TO IDENTIFY A TRUE CHRIST FOLLOWER… — Kirk’s Journal

This post is from Kirk’s Journal. I found Kirk’s blog just recently and I want to recommend it to you! In this post, Kirk L. Zehnder talks about a very important topic.

MATTHEW 7:21-23: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in […]

Quick Devotional from Matthew 5:18 (Observation from the Greek) – The Domain For Truth

The Domain for Truth

This is from my daily Greek exercise of sight reading some time ago, courtesy of Vincent S Artale Jr.

Our text is from the Greek translation of Matthew 5:18.  Here is my translation:

“ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν· ἕως ἂν παρέλθῃ ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ, ἰῶτα ἓν ἢ μία κεραία οὐ μὴ
Truly I say to you until the heaven and the earth will go away, not an iota nor one stroke

παρέλθῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ νόμου , ἕως ἂν πάντα γένηται. ”
will go away from the law, until everything is fulfilled

The Spirit of Caleb — Lee Duigon

Caleb was a man who trusted in God in spite of the odds that met him and the Israelites when approaching the Promised Land (Numbers 13). We need more people like Caleb who will stand up for the Lord in the cause of Jesus Christ!

Read this post by author Lee Duigon! Please pray that our faith in Christ will grow more and more each day through the help of the Holy Spirit!

It’s not too late to put our trust in God and get to work like we mean it. Repent of our sins and get busy! – Lee Duigon

Are we really just grasshoppers? You’ll remember from the Bible how the children of Israel, having reached the border of the Promised Land, sent spies to find out what it was like (Numbers, Chapter 13). The spies came back loaded with fruit and other good things. It’s a land flowing with milk and honey, all […]
