Forgiving Because of Christ

From SlimJim’s blog, The Domain For Truth, about forgiving…

The Domain for Truth

Forgiving is hard.  An English poet (Alexander Pope) once said “To err is human, to forgive divine.”  Certainly by our own power and in our flesh alone it is very hard to forgive.

I don’t listen to country.  But I found this song after listening to hymns on Youtube.  The song is called “The Preacher And The Stranger.”

Here are the lyrics:

Bible Contradiction? Who created heaven and earth?

From The Domain for Truth.

The Domain for Truth

For today’s post we will tackle the question the Skeptic Annotated Bible asked: Who created heaven and earth?

Here are the two answers which the skeptic believes indicate a Bible contradiction:

God the Father did it all by himself.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, “I, the Lord, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone,” (Isaiah 44:24)

Jesus did it.

There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. 9 There was the true Light which, coming into…

By Request, ‘I am the God that Healeth Thee’

Amen!

Lee Duigon

Requested by Erlene–I am the God that Healeth Thee, by Don Moen.

We cannot count the people who were healed by Our Savior Jesus Christ, healed of every conceivable disease, while He was present in the flesh, on earth: and those healings were the evidence that God Himself had sent Him. They bore witness that He was the Son of God.

God has promised that when He restores His creation, in the fullness of time, sin and death will be cast out. There will be no need for any more healings, because we will all be whole, forever.

But in the meantime, all healing still comes from Him and we are instructed to pray for our loved ones, or for ourselves, when we need healing. God knows that we are weak; but He is strong. We pray in hope.

‘The Temptation’ Update

Right now I’m reading The Temptation by Lee Duigon!

Lee Duigon

Bell Mountain No. 11, The Temptation, is now available from amazon.com in paperback as well as Kindle. It looks like no one’s bought it yet, so one of you can make literary history by being the first to order it. The book is also waiting (if I may use a personification) for its first customer review.

Meanwhile, I have received the first little whisper of a Book No. 13–just the tiniest of hints, I don’t have a title. But it’s a good, solid hint–thank you, Lord.

But for the time being, The Temptation is where it’s at. If you want to catch up with Jack and Ellayne, Wytt and Martis, Lord Orth, Ysbott the Snake, and all the rest of the characters–and believe me, they’ve all been quite busy, hair-raising adventures and all that–the best way to do it is to read the book!
