What I Believe

I believe that there is only one God, infinite, holy, unchanging, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and almighty, and that He is a Trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I believe that God created the entire universe, the planets, sun, moon, stars, and Earth, including everything on Earth, such as the land, sea, air, plants, animals, and humans.

I believe that our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned again God, thus introducing sin and death into the world, and that through Adam and Eve’s sin, the whole entire human race became totally depraved and unable to save themselves from eternal damnation.

I believe that God sent us a Savior, Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary as was prophesied in the Old Testament, and that Jesus Christ lived a perfect and sinless life on the behalf of His people, thus keeping the Law of God perfectly.

I believe that Jesus Christ, the everlasting Lord of lords and King of kings, the one and only almighty God, became the substitute for His people and died on the cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of His people all around the world. God’s people’s sins were imputed to Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ’s righteousness was imputed to His people.

I believe that on the third day after His death, Jesus Christ rose again from the dead, defeating death and Satan once and for all for His people, and that He ascending up into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for His people.

I believe that God the Father chose whom He will save from the eternal past, that God the Son came to Earth to pay the debt of sin for His people and to redeem them, and that God the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of those whom the Father chose and the Son redeemed, thus regenerating them into a new life, making them born again.

I believe that all those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior will be saved from the wrath of God, from the eternal penalty of sin, from Satan, from self, and from the everlasting torments in the flames of Hell. Those who believe in Christ only believe because God allowed and enabled them to, and their believing in Christ is the evidence of their election by God.

I believe in the inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures, consisted of 66 books, and that the writers of the Old and New Testaments were inspired by the Holy Spirit and that every word in the original Bible is God-breathed. As God cannot lie, His Book, the Holy Bible, is to be trusted above all books and must be the manual of our lives.

I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead at the end of the world, and that He will bring His people into the eternal rest and peace in Heaven to worship and praise God forever, and that He will throw the unsaved people of Satan into the never-ending fires of Hell along with Satan and his demons.

I believe that, by the grace of God alone, I am saved because Jesus Christ washed away all my sins by His precious blood when He died on the cross for my sins and for the sins of His people, the sheep of His fold, elected to be His inheritance from the eternal past.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”-Ephesians 2:8-9

  1. Here’s a great comment by my friend Lee Duigon!

“The belief that must sustain us is this: Jesus Christ is Lord of heaven and earth now. Not tomorrow, not next year, not a hundred years hence–but now. He is Lord now. And as such His victory is certain.” – Lee Duigon
